Kliff ran the Greymanes until the Black Bears hit Pailune and tore everything apart in one night. Now he's crossing the continent trying to find his scattered crew and figure out what's really going on with the Abyss. He's the kind of leader who fights at the front, not from behind, and that's why people follow him. The whole journey is basically about putting the band back together, getting payback, and surviving whatever Pywel throws at him next.
